Poured out: Week 3
God is better than we know and more loving and gracious with each glance! I hope you had a chance to hear Fiona's message on Sunday, if not I would encourage you to take a listen! Through her testimony and my own reading in Genesis, God is reminding and encouraging me with how perfectly faithful He is. The kind of faithfulness that invites our complete release of prayers, desires, dreams .... our very lives!
He is beckoning a deeper trust.
Even when the story (circumstances) remains the same and the main characters haven't changed I have to ask myself: Have I been narrating instead of allowing the greatest Storyteller to write?
My suspicion is that His perspective is different and vastly better than mine.
My prayer is that this journey over the past weeks has opened us up to greater degrees of trust and dependence on God, that He is changing appetites and deepening a kingdom hunger in each of us..
The last verses of Psalm 145, our daily declaration of His goodness.
v.16-21
You open your hand;
you satisfy the desire of every living thing.
The Lord is righteous in all his ways
and kind in all his works.
The Lord is near to all who call on him,
to all who call on him in truth.
He fulfils the desire of those who fear him;
he also hears their cry and saves them.
The Lord preserves all who love him,
but all the wicked he will destroy.
My mouth will speak the praise of the Lord,
and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.
