Below you will find a message from Dan Tanner and Lisa Hansen regarding the recent adjustment to the Grace facility cleaning. We want to take this moment to celebrate the heart that so many have as they ‘come alongside’ to serve Grace. It’s this kind of all-in generosity and care that makes Grace a wonderful place to live, serve, and grow. Thank you.
Dear Grace Family,
We wanted to make you aware of an opportunity to show generosity to our church body. Recently, Grace canceled the contract with the cleaning service for our buildings. Since the beginning of May, the staff has been managing the cleaning and Jack Gardner has been coordinating. As members (Dan Tanner & Lisa Hansen), we thought this would be a wonderful opportunity as a church family for us to step in and take ownership of this need.
To replace the work the staff is currently doing, we need 4 volunteers on Mondays and 2 on Fridays (if weekdays don’t work, Sunday evenings or Saturdays are options). We’re estimating it would take 2 to 3 hours to clean the buildings on Monday and approximately 1 hour on Friday. Since groups from the community have been meeting in our facilities during the week, Friday is typically a check-in on conditions before Sunday. Responsibilities would be to:
· Vacuum & sweep
· Feather dust
· Wipe down surfaces
· Empty trash
Our goal is for us as members to take over this responsibility beginning mid-June. We’d love to have enough volunteers so that each group would only be needed once a month. A few ideas:
· Life Groups that would like to take a time slot together.
· Individuals who have some flexibility with their weeks
· People who want to contribute to the church in ways other than financial.
If you’re interested, please contact me at dantan1003@gmail.com or Lisa at juiceanyone@hotmail.com. Jack and one of us will meet with you the first time you volunteer and show you where to find supplies and go over exactly what needs to be done. Please contact us if you have any questions and thank you so much for your consideration.
I Cor. 12:27 - Now you are Christ’s body, and individually parts of it.
In Christ,
Dan Tanner & Lisa Hansen
