Where we began...
Grace Church was founded as Grace Evangelical Church in 1973 when Joe and Barbara Ivey, along with four other couples from different churches, engaged in a small group Bible study together. They were led to begin a church in Fayette County. From our beginning Grace has carefully and consistently maintained a strong commitment to Biblical teaching with clear life applications. Jesus Christ has remained the center of our community as our life giver, redeemer, sustainer, and finisher of our faith journey.
Where we are headed...
For over 50 years now Grace has enjoyed God’s direction and faithfulness. We are grateful for all who have been a part of our story. Our presence in this community is a reflection of His kindness and grace. We are as amazed as we are grateful. As we look to the future we do so with humility, hope and a vision for following Jesus with a faithful presence as people who practice the way of Jesus and participate in building His Kingdom.
We 're also dream about a much-needed expansion of our facilities. In 2019 we completed the 1st phase of a three-phase project we called “Extending Grace” that involved a complete remodeling of our auditorium. Covid dramatically changed our timetable! We're seeking God's timing and provision to expand our capacity for hospitality to better serve the needs of the Grace family and the growing opportunities we enjoy in our community. We invite you to join us in writing the next chapter of our story.
