Long time members of Grace Church, Mark + Debbie joined SIM in 1993 and moved to Ethiopia  where they raised their four children.   

Having lived in  Ethiopia for 30 years, the MacLachlans are in the process of transitioning from their leadership roles there.  They currently spend part of their time in an agricultural project with the Awi people and part of their time in the capital city of Addis Ababa.  The country of Ethiopia is a war-torn nation and is in the middle of a tragic civil war.

Mark  and Debbie founded the 5 F's Agricultural Project with the Awi people.  The leadership of this project has been handed over to one of their co-workers, Tafere (who Grace Church also supports).  Currently, in addition to assisting with SIM special projects, the MacLachlans are seeking the Lord regarding the next season of their ministry.
